Kewanee police are investigating damage to at least eight monuments in the Old Kewanee Cemetery Memorial Day weekend.Neighbors believe vandals struck late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.One of the stones dates back to 1864.A number of flags and flagholders on the graves of veterans were also damaged, according to neighbors.The city cemetery was established in 1854 and includes the graves of several of Kewanee’s founding fathers.
